When measuring your bust, wear the bra—if any—you plan to wear with the dress.
Measure all the way around from the center, the fullest part of your chest.
When measuring your waist, wear the shapewear—if any—you plan to wear with the dress.
Measure all the way around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
When measuring your hips, wear the shapewear—if any—you plan to wear with the dress.
Measure all the way around the widest part of your hips.
Measure all the way around the base of your neck to get your neck measurement for styles with a jewel neckline, halter neckline or stand collar.
Measure from under your armpit all the way around to the top of your shoulder. This is your arm hole measurement.
Keep your arms at your sides. Measure from the fullest part of your upper arm for your bicep measurement. For the most accurate measurement, make sure the measuring tape is snug around your arm without squeezing.
Measure all the way around the start of your wrist to get your wrist girth measurement for styles with long sleeves.
To find your ideal sleeve length measurement, keep your arms at your sides. Measure along the side of your arm from the top of your shoulder and measure the length until the place you want the sleeve to end. This measurement will vary based on design preferences.
